Are all Phone microSD cards standard size?
I have a phone that has a slot for a 1 gig microSD card
I notice that I could buy up to an 8 gigs card online.
I’m not shore if it will fit in the cell phone slot.
Are all microSD cards standard size (1 – 8 gigs)?
How can I know if it will fit or not?
Any suggestions?
How does microSD cards works?
Thanks!

Hi supermoren,
The physical size of all micro SD cards is the same but the ability to hold data varies.
An 8GB card is known as a "HC" (High Capacity) card and only fairly new devices can use them.
The 8GB card will fit in your slot but there is a good chance your phone won't be able to use it.
If you post your make and model of phone we can tell you if the 8GB card will work.

If I buy a mobile phone, will it work with SIM cards in another country?
I'm not talking about the phone service or roaming or whatever.
I'm talking about the actual phone model. If I buy it in one country, will it work with SIM cards in another country, or will I have to buy a new phone in order to use the local network?
If I buy a mobile phone, will it work with SIM cards in another country?
Hi Yes
As long as the phone you purchase is a UNLOCKED GSM Quadband (GSM850/900/1800/1900) It will work with any GSM sim from any country you might be in
Additional
To check the phone to see if it is unlocked, borrow a sim card from a friend or family member that uses a different mobile provider then you use. put their sim in the phone, if it works, then its unlocked.
If it is locked, it will reject the sim most likley giving you a messeage to enter a subsidy code
When purchasing a phone, the seller should state if it is unlocked as it is an added selling feature and helps increase the value
Reply:it all depends if the phone is unlocked or not i know that unlocked phones from the us will work in canada i bought a unlocked phone and put a rogers sim card in it and it worked just fine
Reply:if the phone is sim free it will work anywhere

What calling card (phone card) can I buy in the US so I can call the US from France on my Trip?
I saw a Sprint International Phone Card that said things about calling from the U.S. to other countries. I haven't seen any cards that say anything about calling from a country to the U.S.
Do I need to wait until I get to the country to get the phone card? Or where should I go to get one in this country? Where do I get one in France if I get one there, I'll be with a group and may not be stopping at many convenience stores.
Thanks so much.

A few French companies sell calling cards on the Internet.
(not all have a website in English)
Examples:
http://www.iradium.fr
http://www.centraltelecom.fr/cartes-tele...
Most have connection costs. Read the small print.
Reply:Paris has plenty of small Internet cafés %26amp; Telecom shops that sell a variety of calling cards, esp. in the "ethnic" neighborhoods. But since you will be in a group, you probably won't get near one such shop. Hence my suggestion to look at French telecom websites. Report Abuse

Reply:Most corner stores have a wide range and you can choose. The type you buy depends on where you are calling because sometimes the cheapest one turns out to be more expensive.
Vox is one of the best ones.
