How fast are the sprint broadband wireless internet phone cards?
I would think that they are very slow. She's getting one for her son's homeschooling. Whats the speed comparable to?
thanks
How fast are the sprint broadband wireless internet phone cards?
I use them regularly for internet access while on my train commute between Philadelphia and D.C. it is much faster than dial up but slower than 802.11 wifi or a LAN. You are able to stream audio and video though and I am able to maintain a connection on the entire trip from Philly to DC (except for in the tunnels)
thanks

How do I buy phone cards for calling the USA from Iraq ?
GOING TO IRAQ AS A SERVICE MEMBER AND WANT TO PURCHASE PREPAID CALLING CARDS THAT WILL WORK IN IRAQ FOR CALLING HOME IN THE U.S.
How do I buy phone cards for calling the USA from Iraq ?
Wait until you get there. The plans are cheaper and you can also use Yahoo Messenger with voice which is free. The military has phones set up for cheap calls and your post even allows morale calls for free at a limited rate. I've been there twice.
Reply:Check http://www.eecalling.com, some of the cards don't have Maintenance Fee, some have, and Rounding minutes the lower the better, all depends on how you used the cards.
you can buy your card anywhere at any time, you get the PIN NO. instantly after you paid.

I have a Chocalate flip 8600 and thinking of getting those new shine 8700 phones but can my memory SD card still work in it, I have soo much data and pics on there that i might consider just fixing my phone if the card won't work on it , help
Can i Still use my old cell phone memory cards on a new phone?
Hopefully the new phone will have space for your SD card. If you're really worried about losing your data, I suggest you by an SD card-reader for your computer and back-up all your data onto your computer.
Reply:it should work if the new phone supports the same type of memory card
Reply:You should be able to use your Memory card in the new phone. As long as it supports the same size, type of memory card it should work. Just hope the new phone doesn't want you to format the memory card inorder for you to use it because formatting will delete everything.

Do you get new sim cards with your new plan and phone if its mailed?
ok, me and my dad just got a new plan and phones.we got them and ordered everything over the phone so its all being mailed.will we get new sim cards with our new phones or will we still have to use our old sim cards? thanksss!
Do you get new sim cards with your new plan and phone if its mailed?
You usually get new sim cards with new phones but don't use the new one. Keep using the old one and save the new ones in case the old one fails or get lost.
If you need to use the new ones you need to call the company to activate them.
Reply:You should get new sim cards with the phones. But to keep the same phone number and all your phone numbers in the memory, you will need to use your old sim card in the new phone.
Reply:You have to use your old ones to activate your new phones

How are phone cards activated by the cashier when you buy them?
The phone card has a serial numer on it. When you purchase the card, the computer register reads the serial number from the magnetic strip and sends the information via telephone lines to the central computer database of the company who gives the service.
When you make a call later using the card. The central computer will check to make sure the card serial number has been activated.
How are phone cards activated by the cashier when you buy them?
the phone card has a magnectic strip on the back, when they scan it through the register it activates it so when you get ready to use it all you have to do is put your pin # in to id it
Reply:Some stores have a machine which activates them and others have to call them in to do so. If your buying them from a machine, they have already been programmed to be activated as you place your first call.

Calling from Thailand to Australia: (currency is US dollar)
1. calling card, the best rate is 22.9 cents/min without connection or maintenance fee.
2. if you have a direct phone line and internet access, you can try another card, only 4.3 cents/min. Register 2 phone numbers online and talking through physical phone lines.
check the following link to compare and find the right choice:-

buy online with Paypal and credit card, receive instant PIN# by your email. Simple, fast and convenient.
Reply:definitaly, there is no doubt.
Reply:1) I liked fffrrreee's second option; although I think you should be able to get a SIM cheaper than Baht500 (like Baht200-300), I think there are even some at Baht99. This link will give you some more info about getting a Thai SIM and using it to make international calls:-

2) A lot of internet cafes have Skype software on their PCs so if you have a Skype account already then you can call at Skype's rate. What is it, 3 cents a minute?
I find that Skype works much better on a high-speed internet line and I call Australia from Thailand on it quite a lot (as that's where I went to uni).

1. But an International Phone card at any 7-11. The only trick here is taht the phone card must work at the same phone booth. So look for a row of phone booths near your hotel - remember what logos are on (which phone companies they represent). Then buy the phone card that matches the booth. Ask the 7-11 person for international cards - they all have good rates.
2. Easier - if you have an AUstralian GSM phone, but a SIM card for 500 baht with a thai number. Put that SIM card into your Australian GSM phone and make international calls really cheap. when you are done making calls - switch the SIM card back to your Australian one. You can also make calls within thailand cheap with your thai SIM card. You can also buy recharge cards at any 7-11 (7-11 stores are everywhere)!
Reply:of course yes,,,,,,,, why not if it is internationl value
Reply:yes! i think u must opt 2 buy coz If u purchase a phone card there u can call Australia. they would cost 2 $ only.
