If you have to switch sim cards back and forth with another phone every day, will it get damaged?

My cousin is getting a Blackberry, but she doesnt want to take it to school. She has a regular flip phone so she wants to switch the sim card to her flip phone. If she does this every day, or switches it to the flip phone for the week and back to the blacberry on weekends, will it get damaged?

Yes it will! Sim cards are sensitive..if they get so much as dirt on it it will malfunction. Its a bad idea to switch sim cards period no matter what..
Reply:This sounds like a bad idea to me. According to documentation that came with my phone, SIM cards are sensitive to static electricity. With all of that handling, she has a good chance of damaging it.

If she is going to do this, I would suggest that she be careful and handle it by the edges and not touch the metal looking parts.

Sounds like alot of trouble to me.
Reply:It wont damage it as long as she is careful. I switch between a flip phone and touch screen frequently and have yet to have problems.
Reply:thats not a good idea.

what you least want is the sim card to get scratched, because then all your info is lost.

it happened to me once.

if you decide to do so, make sure you are very careful so it doesnt get scratched.
