2) A lot of internet cafes have Skype software on their PCs so if you have a Skype account already then you can call at Skype's rate. What is it, 3 cents a minute?
I find that Skype works much better on a high-speed internet line and I call Australia from Thailand on it quite a lot (as that's where I went to uni).

1. But an International Phone card at any 7-11. The only trick here is taht the phone card must work at the same phone booth. So look for a row of phone booths near your hotel - remember what logos are on (which phone companies they represent). Then buy the phone card that matches the booth. Ask the 7-11 person for international cards - they all have good rates.
2. Easier - if you have an AUstralian GSM phone, but a SIM card for 500 baht with a thai number. Put that SIM card into your Australian GSM phone and make international calls really cheap. when you are done making calls - switch the SIM card back to your Australian one. You can also make calls within thailand cheap with your thai SIM card. You can also buy recharge cards at any 7-11 (7-11 stores are everywhere)!

How do phone cards work?
Im looking for a phone cards that can go with my cell phone.. I know that to activate it you have to dial a specific number and give them your pin.
My real question is though, do you have to dial that number ever single time i call someone? Or is it just a one time activation and then I call normally each time?
Any recommend a good phone card that is pretty cheap and is reliable? Thanks guys!

Ever notice with Real Estate agents that it looks like they all went to the same photographer? They all have the same insincere smile thing going on and they look stoned.

Some people are really good with names, others not so good with names, but really good with faces. So if your business card has your picture on it, it's more likely someone will remember meeting you and hold on to your card for a longer time. Hopefully, that means they're more likely to call you when they actually need your services. Real estate agents use their business cards with clients and for networking with a broad variety of other business vendors: attorneys, home inspectors, contractors, mortgage lenders, etc. It's often helpful if THOSE people remember them too.

I want some creative help here...I have this huge collection of phone cards(hundreds) which have been only ...
used to call my special one..bf..now I am going to visit him after two years almost...can anyone tell me what way I can make a nice, creative and adoring use of them....to just make him happy? P.S. I am thinking numbers here...the cards have a ten digit code on them...and also they are white strips (5.5 cm x 23 cm)....with codes for different locations from Canada ....I mean you can either make me do something with the exact phone cards or if you can do something with the numbers..the ten digit codes I told you about....to make something fabulous out of numbers...thanks I would highly highly be obliged if any one of you might be able to give me the slightest idea....

why not do something with the cards and the numbers,... take the cards and write the numbers in a blank address book...next to each number, write something down that you will do to him or for him that is unique to that number (like the call you made to him) write down 10 kisses on the back of the neck, breakfast in bed, a dozen pieces of his favorite candy, you know things like that...special things... drop the cards in a nice gift bag... have him shake the bag up... and pull out a card...and you both have fun seeing what he's won..there is no end for the use of the cards or the love that you have using them.
Reply:Make a scrapbook page. In one corner he'll be on the phone. In the opposite corner, there'll be a picture of you on a phone. Add an embellishment that looks like a phone cord between the two pictures. Add a phone card somewhere on the page.
Make a birdhouse/feeder and use the excess cards for shingles.

My mom is going on a trip to Mexico and wants a phone card to call from Mexico to the United States. is there a cheap phone card to call from mexico to the US? Also, my mom and I have Sprint cell phones. Is there a service where we can get international minutes for a week?

With this card she can only call from public phones, but there are plenty of those everywere here in Mexico!!! and I think the fee is like 1 peso per minute which is more or less like 10 cents (i´m not really sure but the instruccions in the public phones have all the info, she can check it before buying the card, it´s very easy there´s one on every corner, and the card can be purchased in any grocery store, and many other places like hotels and big stores sell them too, she could try Sanborns, they sell the cards and there are phones near the rest rooms). And the public phones have instructions in english.
