Can you use different phone cards (not your cellphone carrier) for your cellphone?

For example, I have a Solo Mobile phone, so instead of buying a Solo Mobile phone card which is hard to find, could I buy say a Telus phonecard or a Fido one? I WILL NOT go on a plan. Thanks!

i dont think you do use phone card by useing cell phone cause if you do use it will stilll be getting charge as if you also useing the home phone too. it doesnt matter if you do use different cards anyways. actually you can use any phones cards for calling more less mintunes.
