How do I get internet access on my laptop while traveling? Cell phone cards?

I travel alot and I'm never at home. I'm buying a laptop and I want to use the internet while I'm on a train, bus, driving.. etc etc. Is there something that can be done with cell phone reception? etc? are there any other methods?

My son goes through a company called clear wire for his traveling wireless connection. I don't know anything about it.
Reply:yeah you can get wireless internet. just call any internet company if they have wireless internet.
Reply:You can either do what was said above, or if your laptop has WiFi you can connect to an open connection near by, but wireless internet is better because open networks aren't available everywhere. WiFi is really helpful for airports and cafes and hotels. If the hotel you are staying in has a open wireless network connection you can just ask at the front desk to allow you and you'll be able to use it.
