Can you put a sims card from a pay-as-you-go phone into a different phone?

Can you put a sims card from a pay as you go phone in a bill phone? Put without activateding the bill. Cant you just buy a $15 phone card for the new one instead of paying the bill. And if you can do this will the bill phone have its own charateristics or will it have the pay-as-you-go phone characteristics?

i have a filp phone (pay-as-you-go) and im wanting to put its sim card in a razar or blackjack(bill-phone).

Can you put a sims card from a pay-as-you-go phone into a different phone?
I've tried it and couldn't get it to work.


I even tried doing it the other way around.


Maybe it was just me though.
