Can I switch sim cards in my cell phone without damage?

I have a LG phone and it is broken, can I put the sim card into my old Nokia phone and have it work?

You should be able to as long as you are staying with the same provider. If you switch providers {i.e. from cingular to altell} then you can't. The good news is that if you are switching providers and you go to an authorized dealer of the new provider, they should have a sim card reader. It can take the information from the old sim card and put it on a new one that will work in your phone. I just went through the same thing.
Reply:I think you can. Sim cards are designed to swap between phones.
Reply:Sure you can, as long as the Sim card is not damaged
Reply:Yeah you can but the Nokia phone has to be SIM ready, or it won't work
Reply:Yeah, I am pretty sure that will work. I have switched mine back and forth between a motorola, and LG and a Blackberry, and they all worked fine.
