Can I put my Sims cards from my old phone in my new phone? Will it work immediately?

I just bought a new phone online but my old one is still activated. LG C1300 (Cingular Wireless)

Can I put my Sims cards from my old phone in my new phone? Will it work immediately?
only if u have the same network like if u hav a cingular phone and u get rid of it for another cingular phone than u could but if u get rid of a cingular phone and get a virgin mobile phone than u wouldnt be able to
Reply:Yes you can. Your SIM card is what holds all your information, not the phone itself. You can switch it through phones freely if you want to and it will work right away.
Reply:I don't think it will work it deepens on the phone if its from the same store then yes!!!
Reply:yes it should the sims card just holds all of the info you have stored in your phone.
Reply:yes
Reply:yes it will
Reply:Once you switch sims cards the old phone won't work. and once you insert it in your new phone the numbers should appear shortly in your phone.

if not contact a cingular wireless store near you

hope this helps
Reply:Generally this works but if your old phone was significantly older than the new one it might not work. Different generations of phones have different sim cards.
Reply:It shouldn't matter that your old phone is activated, it's really the SIM card that's activated. As long as the new phone is from the same provider as the old phone, you should be able to pop it in, and go!
