European phone cards?

I will be in Europe from June 8th-July 11. I will be visiting various countries only in Western Europe and need to buy phone cards that will allow me to phone both Canada and the States. Can anyone recommend a brand, or tips and where I can pick them up (i.e. target or walmart?)

Thanks!

European phone cards?
Yeah, you can buy them at Tabacs around europe. If you are in France, Switzerland and Italy they are called Tabacs. Its basically like a convienent store that sells cigs and alcohol and lil random items.

Each one works for that country only though. So if you buy a card in France, it will only work in France, etc.

But you can go online and buy international 'cards'.

They will give you a number to dial in each country and then depending on cards, will give you a number depending on the city. Then they give you a passcode to enter and then dial the number you wish to call. So either way is good. The one card I used online worked on landlines, but at public phones too, just not as many minutes though.

For simplicity, just buy one at the Tabac, then you dont have to worry about knowing the numbers, you just look on the back of the card and its there... its just easier.

Happy Travels!

Reply:you can try http://www.eecalling.com to compare.

You need to choose the countries you want to call from and choose destination country as Canada and USA separately.

good luck!
Reply:Hi!U can actually get em at kiosks that sells tobacco or news stands.Usually they have either in cards or a printed receipt like paper.Prices ranges dependin but u can always ask the person in charge which ones give u more minutes, they usually provide a brochure too.Hope that helps.Cheers! :)
